San Titar Intro

For the San Titar intro, we sought a visual language that captures the soul of football: human, tangible, and with a healthy dose of wonder. It turned into a meticulous labor of love down to the square millimeter.

The opening sequence is entirely handmade in stop-motion using authentic Subbuteo figures. The visual running theme? The dot matrix of a classic stadium screen, which flows seamlessly into the program's entire graphics package and bumpers. It evokes a retro feel without getting stuck in clichés.

To complete the experience, I directed a composer to create a custom theme song. The goal: translating that exact same nostalgic yet fresh vibe into sound, perfectly in sync with the tactile atmosphere of the visuals. A total concept where every frame and every note contributes to a distinctive perspective on the sport.

San Titar

In this reportage for San Titar, we trade the modern arenas for the raw charm of Brussels' football history. Together with Dorianne Aussems and David Steegen, we wander through the capital, in search of the soul of forgotten football temples.

As a director, my goal was to capture the interaction between the characters and the imposing, sometimes dilapidated settings of provincial clubs. An authentic journey of discovery where the stands are dripping with history. The result is a visual tribute to the places where the heart of football, far away from the big millions, still beats.

Jelle Van Damme: Real life vs. FIFA 15

Sometimes the best content lies at the intersection of gaming and reality. Upon the release of FIFA 15, Jelle Van Damme turned out to be one of the physically strongest players in the game. A fact we couldn't just let slide.

I conceived and directed a concept where we mirrored Van Damme's virtual strength against his real-life performances on the pitch. The result is a dynamic edit where game footage and real-life actions blend seamlessly together. The challenge? Having our intern "replay" the right moments on the console for hours on end to match that one perfect header frame-by-frame with reality.

The Regular Season Wrap: 2017 - 2018

How do you summarize an entire year of football, passion, and drama in just 150 seconds? I was tasked with distilling the 2017-2018 regular season into one powerful clip.

This was an exercise in curation and rhythm. After hours of screening footage and filtering the best moments — from brilliant goals to the driest humor on the sidelines — everything came together in the edit suite. With the help of colleagues who had spotted the smallest details throughout the year, I built an overview that doesn't just list the facts, but above all, relives the feeling of that season.

C|X: The Story of Francesca Baroni

Sometimes the strongest content stems from the most personal stories. For Play Sports, I co-developed the concept for C|X, a documentary series where Caro Houbreghts (C) searches for the human behind the cyclocross (X). Although logistical setbacks and an overcrowded calendar brought the series to an early halt, the pilot episode remains one of my favorite projects.

We visited Francesca Baroni, an Italian who left everything behind for the mud of Westerlo. Her story is unique: not just because of her move at a young age, but primarily because she holds her own as a deaf athlete in the hectic world of cyclocross.

For the intro, I sought a visual language that honors her perseverance and her unique perspective on the world. A subdued yet powerful start to a story that truly deserves to be told.
